After Salento we took a bus back to cold and rainy Bogotá, and the following morning flew out to Cusco in Peru. We thought at this point we would mention a few things not said so far in the blog about Colombia…

1) Music is life. We were going round a local supermarket in Cartegena, when out of the corner of my eye I noticed a guy making some strange movements with his legs. I thought maybe he was on drugs or something, so slowly moved to the next aisle. In the next aisle, as the salsa chorus kicked in on the supermarket hi fi, the woman in front of me went full jig and cracked out a bunch of salsa steps whilst singing along, casually picking up groceries on the way.
